Megan’s Legacy Foundation applies for grant funding for the Education/Safety Training

The nonprofit organization, Megan’s Legacy Foundation for Off-Road Safety Awareness, is applying to the California Department of Parks and Recreation, Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation (OHMVR) Division for the 2026 grants program for funding of educational programs at Ocotillo Wells, Heber Dunes and various other locations. The grants applications will be posted on the OHMVR website on March 3, 2026 – May 4, 2026. To review the grant applications submitted, click on this link or paste it into your browser: www.ohv.parks.ca.gov

The 60-day public review and comment period for the 2026 Grants and Cooperative Agreement Program begins March 3, 2026 and ends May 4, 2026. This period provides an opportunity for the public to review the preliminary applications submitted to the OHMVR Division for consideration during the current grant cycle. The public may provide comment to both the applicant and the OHMVR Division by emailing Vickie Sanders at vickies@meganslegacufoundation.org and copying the OHVMR Division at OHV.Grants@parks.ca.gov
